ABC 6/5

We had a busy day at the ABC clinic teaching the ABC students, seeing patients, and programming hearing aids. The training topics today were embryology, auditory pathologies, anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system, and vestibular pathologies. The ABC students seemed eager to learn and asked many great questions. I think we all enjoyed teaching the students what we know about these topics and thinking about them from a different perspective.

We also shared a lot of laughs while we attempted (and struggled) to connect and program hearing aids… But Dr. McBride was always there to come in and make it look easy! Our motto: “Keep calm and let McBride do it.”

While waiting for the other group of students to return from their day or outreach, we were enlightened by the musical expertise of Peter. He didn’t share Dr. McBride and Dr. Busen’s love for Jason Mraz, though! Overall, a fun day at the ABC clinic!
